Moscow is Russia’s capital as well as the biggest political,
industrial, scientific, cultural & educational centre.
On the banks of the Moskva River it is located in the center
of the European part of the country. It lies in a moderate
continental climate zone & in January 11 C below zero
temperature & in July +24 C temperature is there.
The first mention of the land occupied by modern Moscow is
there in the chronicles of 1147. In 13th century Moscow became
the major town of a small principality and it unites various
scattered principalities in the following century. |

Nowadays Moscow is a big industrial centre. There are major
industries like building, engineering, instruments making, metal
working, electrical engineering & electronics. Moscow is
the seat of Academy of Sciences & hundreds of research establishments.
It is also a center of science & education. 80 higher educational
institutions are there & 7,00,000students attend it.
Moscow is also the country's cultural and sporting centre. It
has more than 100 museums, exhibitions and more than 30 professional
theaters and concert halls (including the world renowned Bolshoi
Opera and Ballet Theatre), hundreds of cinemas, clubs. |

monuments are under state protection.Moscow is graced with modern
architectural structures such as blocks of offices, shops and
apartments of New Arbat, the Palace of Congresses built within
the Kremlin, the Cosmos Hotel on Peace Avenue (Prospekt Mira),
the Moscow University building on Vorobyev Hills.

Berlin, Budapest, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Paris, Vienna, Istanbul,
Ulan Bator, Pyongyang & dozens of other foreign cities. |
